winnie the pooh

Winnie the pooh is one of our favorite cartoons so much so that the children's room is painted with winnie the pooh and all the stuff from door mat to the photoframe has winnie. His philosophy and sayings are so simple and sweet that it will touch a chord with you. loved it when my daughter drew this.

A baby amongst flowers

This drawing commands lots of patience and hardwork especially my daughter said the flowers on the baby's ears(hood) were hardwork for her.

Pallavi her art teacher usually signs off with an adjective like outstanding, excellent, good , ok etc...

For this drawing she said she had no words in her vocab.

Red decorative pot

The grape bunches you see on the red clay pot was designed during a 15 day summer work shop conducted at madhu sinha aunty's place ( Icrisat colony). Shre and shar learnt making greeting cards, clay work on tiles, pots, and antique painting. Shre was 9.5 and sharun 7 while making those pieces.

What was lovely was the ambience in which they learnt. It was a huge house with lawns and very few children. not commercially taught but for the love of teaching art. The clay was made at home using belgium powder, ceramic powder, maida and camel paste. The grapes have been given an antique golden finish.
